Members of St Augustine’s  contribute to the life of our Network in many different ways. One of the ways in which you can contribute to the church is through financial giving. The Bible teaches that if you’re a committed member of a Church community then you should support that church with time, prayer, service and money (see our Frequently Asked Questions on tithing). Money given is used to not only support the work of the services and programs within our church, but 15% of our offertory is also used to support our Mission Partners both within Australia and around the world. On top of this, over 7% is given to support the Diocese of Melbourne.

Ways to Give:

Sunday Services: You can place cash or cheques (made out to “St Hilary’s Anglican Church Kew”) in the wooden box at the back of the church before or after a Sunday Service.

Internet Banking: Set up a regular payment to St Augustine’s via your bank account online. Our banking is managed by St. Hilary’s, but our budget is completely separate.  Please put ‘St. Augustine’s’ in the Reference field:
Bendigo Bank
Account Name: St Hilary’s Anglican Church Partnership Account
BSB: 633-000
Account Number: 134986348

Credit Card/Push Pay (preferred) Click here to give by Debit/Credit Card through our partner PushPay. This will allow you to create an account, set a Recurring Payment and update these details at any time. You can also download an app on Android and iPhone to go alongside.  Our office staff prefer if you go this option because it involves the least processing at their end.

Why become a Financial Partner?

Financially partnering with the church is helpful for both you, as well as the church. By committing to partnering with the church it gives you the opportunity to pray and reflect on your current situation, and to adjust your giving for each year. It also helps our staff team and church board to make informed decisions about the ministries and programs that we will undertake in the future. In 2 Corinthians 9:7 we read: ‘Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.’ I urge you to pray and full consider your commitment to serve God’s people and use the opportunity to do so. We greatly value your generous support towards the work of our church.
